Swasthavritta OPD (ಸ್ವಸ್ಥ ವೃತ್ತ ವಿಭಾಗ):

The Swasthavritta OPD functions as a preventive and promotive healthcare unit focusing on lifestyle modification, disease prevention, and holistic well-being based on Ayurvedic principles. The OPD provides guidance on Dinacharya (daily regimen), Ritucharya (seasonal regimen), Ahara (diet), Vihara (lifestyle), and mental health practices to maintain health and prevent lifestyle-related disorders.

It serves as an interface between classical Ayurvedic preventive concepts and contemporary lifestyle-related health challenges.

Mission

To promote preventive healthcare and healthy living through evidence-based Ayurvedic lifestyle counseling, dietary guidance, and behavioral modification, thereby reducing disease burden and improving quality of life.

Vision

To establish the Swasthavritta OPD as a model center for preventive, promotive, and lifestyle-based healthcare rooted in Ayurveda and aligned with public health goals.

OPD Activities

  • Lifestyle assessment and counseling based on Ayurvedic principles.
  • Guidance on Dinacharya and Ritucharya for disease prevention and health maintenance.
  • Dietary counseling including therapeutic diet planning for lifestyle and metabolic disorders.
  • Yoga, Pranayama, meditation, and stress management advice.
  • Conduct Therapeutic and general Yoga sessions.
  • Counseling for sleep hygiene, mental well-being, and work–life balance.
  • Preventive care support for lifestyle disorders such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, stress-related conditions, and digestive disorders.
  • Health education and awareness on hygiene, environmental health, and ethical living (Sadvritta).
  • Support national health programs through preventive health counseling.

Pathya (Therapeutic diet) Unit:

  • Dietary counseling including therapeutic diet planning for lifestyle and metabolic disorders.
  • Preparation of the therapeutic diet and distribution.
